Memories of the Days Gone By - My Wedding Pics
Tommorrow is my 29th Wedding Anniversary. How time Flies.Seems just like yesterday.Harsha, then Rajini before marriage was the first girl showm by my parents to me, and i okeyed it immediately. For me she was the first, for for her i was the 3 rd or 4th.
I dont know what i did to deserve her,or what she saw in me,but she has been wonderful companion to me since then. And our Silver jubilee was 4 years back ? Well Well. Here are some pics of that day, all black and white.
This is the cover of the Album gone Yellow .so different from these days of Back to Back and Karishma Albums which cost a fortune in itself these days.

Those corny straws was the idea of the Catereres.Sadist Guys really.

Thats us 4 brothers,Dad (no more),Mom, and Bhabhi, and wife Harsha.

The silly photographer made us do these actions in the bedroom, after we reached home dead tired, this was the norm u see those days. And those flowers were so irritatiing u had to sleep with them. And the PG was a flirt, he kept touching my wife's face, telling her Baby pose like this and pose like that, tht rascal, let me meet him again and i will bash him up
Here we are tired and want to enjoy the first night, and this guy kept us for another two hours. Some guys like to see others uncomfortable.
see i am a Shy guy, then and now, and i was very awkward with these love scenes, but this guy was like do this and that.God knows how i went thru all this.

And it was the mid of April, 15th to be exact, and it was so hot, and u can imagine i was pespiring all over, and wanting to get off the Suit into something more comfortable. And no AC then we had., unlike today where the couple celebrate in the hotel. Here this is the bedroom of Mumbai, and the house was full of guests and noise and laughter coming in.
But seriously i would not like to get married again. The functions tired me them, and they tire me now.Who wants to go to trial by fire. One just wants thebride and run away, to hell with the pandits.
Well we left for our honeymoon 2 days later, and imagine the place, the hot Banglore, where we stayed at East End or something, now a Taj Group part, Mysore at Hotel Rajinder Vilas Imperial onchamundi Hill where it was chilling cold in April and lastly in Ooty, where we stayed at Hotel Fernhill Imperial, where the movie Karz was shot.
I have bored u all with my chatter and a silly blog, and i dont blame you at all.My wife agrees with all of you,Bye .
Reminds me of the song
" Jaane Kahan Gaye Woh Din "

Kamalji, the most striking thing about your wedding photo is you are reed thin., including a thin oblong face, a striking contrast from your picture on Sulekha. I suspect Harshaji's cooking must take the blame.

Dear Anjalaji,
that is nothign. There is a place here in Jaipur called Raiser Plaza, famous for the development of wedding pics and CD's.
I see at least 10 computers in each showroom working on the movie CD's.They select the moon, stars sun, cut and paste the face of the bride on the moon, and the groom in the sun, and the corny CD's they make.and the most garish songs they fill as the background music.
Makes me laugh i just go for the kicks sometimes when i am bored.
Regards.kamal

Kamalji,
Sorry I am late! A great post and let me wish you and Harsha many many more years of wedded bliss. Loved looking at the photos. Sepia tint has its own charm. I remembered ours, with faces peering out from a big Flower and affixed as if mooning at each other.

Smitaji,
Well those days, it was like this, nowadays everyone runs to their hotel rooms for the honeymoon where they dont want to be disturbed even by the photogropher.
God knows if something came in the straws, memory is fading on certain matter like these, but not on other matter.HAHA.Regards.kamal

Kamalji,
. And the romantic poses... i can imagine your plight!!! My own wedding photos are so boring.. just posing with assorted guests. Wish I had seen this one before, then mine would have been modelled along the same lines....
I missed this one.. belated wishes for your anniversary. Your narration had me in splits, and forgive me, the pictures as well. You two look great , your wife is v. charming and so are you, but the concept of the photos was soooo funny. What was that thing with a jungle of straws? did you actually manage to get a sip or not?
Lovely. I wish you and your wife many more happy years together.
Smita
